The First Time

I got this from Jo at Will the kids turn out ok? It's all about my first time! 

First thing you do when you wake up in the morning: 

Hit the snooze, of course! But once I actually get out of bed (and go to the bathroom), I yell for the kids to get up  then I go downstairs to start the coffee and to make Bug's lunch.      

First thing you reach for when you open the fridge: 

A Caffeine free Diet Pepsi

First things you do when you get to the gym: 

Ha, you're funny. But back in the days when I first moved in with The Agent and had a gym membership, I always started with 20 minutes on the elliptical. 

First thing you do when you get home from work:

Take off my shoes, look through the mail, start dinner. 

First car: 

1989 Nissan Sentra. It was ultimately cool. 

First accident/traffic violation: 

My first traffic violation was a speeding ticket when I was 16. My first accident was.... I think I rear ended someone. I mean, I know I rear ended someone, I'm trying to remember if that was the first one! 

First thing you wanted to be when you grew up: 

A teacher. After teaching high school English for a semester, I'm happy to be a claims adjuster now. 

First choice beverage: 

First thing in the morning-- coffee. Any other time-- Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi.  

First choice breakfast: 

A spinach and cheese omelet with hash browns, and a side of biscuits and gravy.

First choice dessert: 

cheesecake

First song that comes to mind: 

"Call Me Maybe"

First major purchase: 

My third car was the first major thing I paid for all by myself (my father paid for my first car and my grandfather loaned me the money for my second). But I remember the first thing I bought with my allowance once I started doing chores-- It was a record player, and it cost like $30. 

First job: [aside from babysitting]

I start working at the local pizza parlor when I was 16. 

First time you flew on a plane: 

I was 19, and flew to Colorado to visit my cousin for the week. That was also the first time I saw snow fall in real life, and the first time I ordered a beer in a bar.
